Sgt. Martic, Fairview Police Department

Every year we host various fun filled events in our community with one of them being National Night Out which is held nationally on the first Tuesday of August every year. Ms. T was referred to me by a few of my colleagues in the police world. My first impression was she is someone who was very outgoing and who had a special place in her heart for children. She was very pleasant and greeted every child with a smile. Our community which consists of predominantly Spanish and Portuguese speaking people were pleasantly surprised when Ms. T was able to communicate with the families. The thing that captured my heart the most was we booked Ms. T’s services from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm. At 9:00 pm I requested all parents and children to back away from the line because the face painting station was over, with a smile said “Sgt. I want every child to leave with a smile keep the line moving,” made it a memorable night for every child in our community and would be a great addition for any event.

 The American Legion Auxiliary

A non-profit organization whose sole purpose is to serve our veterans and its community.  Through out the year we have outreach programs assisting veterans and their families.  In addition, we support various programs and donate to and host many activities for our local community. In order for us to support all of our endeavors, fundraising is necessary for our unit. My name is Tina and I am 2^nd Vice President for the above American Legion.  I was event chairperson for our Summer of Love Family BBQ and used Ms. T’s Face Painting services at our fundraiser and she was amazing, not only her demeanor with the guests and the children, but her artwork and detailing were more than we had imagined.  I do know that the American Legion Auxiliary we be using Ms. T’s Face Painting services at our future events..!

I have been in charge of booking all entertainers and field trips here at the school for 10 years and also in my previous school for 4 years.  I was so pleased when I had heard of Ms. T’s Face Painting through a friend.  Ms. T did face painting here for about 35 children and a few adults during our end of the year graduation celebrations.  Due to inclement weather our event ended up taking place in a classroom rather than on our large outdoor playground. Ms. T was very accommodating.  She was able to set up her face painting supplies in a small area of the room.  Although the parents and children looked as they were going to be overwhelming at times, Ms. T took everything in stride and was able to “work” the room with a smile and a few jokes. The parents and children were all pleased with Ms.T.  Ms.T had a very warm, nurturing personality & made a lasting impression on all of us here at Ladybug.  I overheard many of the families discussing when they would like to have Ms.T come and do an event for them.
